The primary navigation mechanic is a "Past / Present / Future" toggle that frames each place as part of a living continuum. Within a week, neighbors were contributing photos from the 1950s, sharing stories about longtime businesses, and imagining what a vacant lot could become. A retired teacher offered to narrate audio segments; a local shop owner asked to be featured.</p><p>What started as a simple walking guide became a relational tool — a way for neighbors to see each other's knowledge, memory, and imagination layered onto the same few blocks. The builder shared daily updates with a small network of fellow builders, and the feedback loop between building, sharing, and co-creating with neighbors made the project richer at every step.
