Overview: Build a mobile web app that acts as a 24 hour digital guestbook for a local cafe. The goal is to capture the collective consciousness of the people in the space through intentional, local sharing rather than global passive scrolling. It should encourage people to look up from their screens, feel connected to the strangers around them, and perhaps strike up a conversation.

Core Features: Daily Prompt: Every day, the app features one thoughtful question at the top of the screen. Examples: What is a book that changed your mind? What is the best thing that happened to you this week? What are you daydreaming about today?

The 24 Hour Stream: Below the prompt is a feed of answers from people who have visited the cafe today. All posts automatically expire and disappear after exactly 24 hours to keep the space rooted in the present moment and protect people from leaving a permanent digital footprint.

Gentle Identity: Users do not create complex accounts. When answering the prompt, they simply enter their first name or an initial. They also select a Status Emoji to gently signal their physical openness in the cafe. A coffee mug means they are open to a quick hello. Headphones mean they are deep in focus. A waving hand means they would love a real life conversation.

Location Check In: To keep the boundary of the third place sacred, users simply tap a button that says I am in the Cafe right now before they can read the stream or post their thought. Keep this high trust and simple for the first version.

Design and Tone: The design should feel cozy, warm, and minimal. Think of the texture of a real paper guestbook sitting on a wooden cafe counter. Use a color palette of warm paper off whites, soft espresso browns, and deep ink blues. Typography should be highly readable, using a gentle serif font that feels slightly nostalgic or literary. Do not include any endless scrolling, push notifications, or engagement metrics like likes, hearts, or follower counts. This is about quiet presence, not optimization or virality.
